Mattia Barbagallo
Mattia Barbagallo is a young pianist from Catania, Sicily, born in 2002. He obtained his second-level academic degree at the “Francesco Cilea” conservatory in Reggio Calabria with the highest marks, under the wise guidance of Giuseppe Gullotta. His are numerous and valuable placements in prestigious international competitions, among which stand out the “Cilea Prize”, the competition “Coppa pianisti d’Italia” in and the competition “Città di Treviso”. He currently attends the master’s degree in Interpretation of Contemporary Music at the conservatory “Santa Cecilia” in Rome and at the same time the faculty of modern letters at the department of humanities of the University of Catania. He has been collaborating with Stradivarius and with the artist/composer A2 Abd El Monim since two years on several recording projects.
