  • The world is constantly moving as a series of events. History and the present consist of a series of events that occur in a random or involuntary order. This produces a continuous sequence of sounds and each event leads to the next sound. One after the other it forms a sequence. This process can vary depending on factors such as the nature of the sounds, the context in which they are perceived, and the individual experiences of the observer. Many people record these events on a sound recorder, sometimes without purpose and sometimes with a conscious purpose, such as by sound artists or nature lovers to create a soundscape, a sound map, sound walk, or for video/film. 'Sequencing Places' is a multimedia expression of the sonic environment in which we live. The basis of the audio for 'Sequencing Places' largely comes from the internet (found audio footage) and audio recordings made by Wijnand himself.
