Viktoria Arvayova & Miche O’higgins
Slippery Instincts (aka Miche O’higgins) is a nebulous practice weaving together interests in social sciences, biology and existential philosophy to create performative experiments that research the ways that people communicate, collaborate and co-exist. Finding ways for immersive storytelling and participatory performance to open space for extended vulnerability and connection is at the centre of this ongoing practice. Miche is interested in the power of storytelling to shape society and culture, and as such her stories and performances are often relating to speculative human and planetary evolution. She is the co-founder of Queered Futures Lab, a community of queer feminist futurists, where she regularly hosts experimental storytelling and writing workshops.
Viktoria Arvayova (or Suzvuky) is an audiovisual artist and musician based in The Hague, freely liquifying between genres, such as electronic ambient, songwriting and sonic fiction with an experimental attitude. She continuously works with sound as a material, shapes imaginary landscapes accompanied by lyrics and guitar. Exploring interconnected relations within systems and networks found in natural and virtual environments. Her voice plays an important role, sometimes it becomes a background and serves as an instrument that breaks down, shapes, cuts the composition, at other times it comes to the front in the main storyline. She’s also active as an organizer of site specific events that take place in environmentally critical locations.
