Matto Zoppi is an Italian performer and sound artist based in Berlin. His artistic expression involves sound, words, and extended voice techniques with a particular intention of evoking grotesque and liminal narratives. He is one of the founders of the multimedia poetry collective Fumofonico, and with the project San Giorgio Cibernetico, is a finalist in the 2021 Alberto Dubito Prize for poetry and music. He worked in many contexts between theater, radio, performance art, digital media, and educational projects.
He performed among others for Errant Sound, Tempo Reale, Murate Art District, DAS Bologna, Manifattura Tabacchi, Fondazione Morra, Biodiversità Records, and his works appeared at Radiophrenia Festival Glasgow, and on Usma Radio, Fango Radio, Noods Radio.
His debut album “Dedalo” was published in 2023 for Fango Radio Editions.
