Contingent Snapshot
Contingent Snapshot is a collaborative radio project by the anthropologist Eugenia Seriakov and the interdisciplinary artist Francesco Zedde. Together they organize experimental radio broadcasts based on their site-specific artist residencies. After Nuremberg, Linz, and Tallinn, they are currently planning a broadcast from Tainan/Taiwan, with the support of the residency space Ting Shuo / Hear SayContingent Snapshot explores the facets and sounds of the city and carries them across the globe via radio, both online and on FM. Due to unfortunate circumstances, in order to run the project in person and on site, the artists involved decided to elaborate a remote version of their planned stay in Tainan and to offer a snapshot of a possible moment within their research and sound practice. Their project includes new music, exchange with local musicians and curatorial practice. Within this process, the shorter radio feature presents the space of Ting Shuo / Hear Say, the music of the guests they aim to collaborate with and Tainan soundscapes.
