Fifteen minutes of field recordings across places and memories.
Fifteen scenes, each a brief take.
Some sharp transitions with sudden shifts, others dissolve slowly into each other, layering geographies until multiple places exist simultaneously, creating surreal soundscapes. Over this cartography of sound, a voice reading fragments of literature that weave a fil rouge reflecting on the complexity and beauty of human relationships in an increasingly individualistic society. At times in dialogue with the sonic scene, at times in counterpoint to it.

Margherita Brillada

Margherita Brillada is a sound artist, radio maker and researcher based in The Hague. Her practice explores the plasticity of the radio medium working across experimental radio art, field recording, and electroacoustic composition to articulate a specific radio poetics rooted in the sonic and political dimensions intrinsic to the medium. She collaborates with community radios and interdisciplinary projects that are local, alternative, independent and experimental. Her research focuses on the socio-political role of radio art, its direct contact with the public and its capacity to connect communities.
